De nederlandse kunstenaars Assmann and Strijbos werken samen aan het doorlopende project Moiré Studies. Beide kunstenaars onderzoeken in hun werk vooral natuurkundige verschijnselen. In Moiré Studies onderzoeken ze de eigenschappen van licht en schaduw. Bewegende lichtbronnen voor roosters creëren een fascinerend systematisch bewegend schaduwspel. Moiré Studies is een kinetische kunstinstallatie waarin een haast psychedelisch effect wordt gegenereerd.

In Moiré Studies they study the properties of light and shadow. Moving lights in front of grids create a fascinating systemically moving shadowplay.
