Zowel op Oculus Rift brillen als in een dome-tent op het Oude Markt, waar werk van meerdere 3D kunstenaars te zien zal zijn, tonen we werk van de Nederlandse kunstenaar Julius Horsthuis. Zijn immersieve omgevingen en video’s worden gekenmerkt door een hoog cybertech gehalte.
Julius Horsthuis is een visual effects (VFX) ontwerper en fractal kunstenaar. Hij werkte intensief aan de visuele effecten van vele grote Nederlandse films. De laatste paar jaar is Horsthuis steeds meer gaan experimenteren met zogenaamde fractal omgevingen en creëerde meerdere korte films en virtual reality ervaringen die werden tentoongesteld in galeries en film festivals over de hele wereld.

On Oculus Rift gear as well as in a dome tent on the Oudekerksplein, where the work of several 3D artists will be on view, we present the work by the Dutch artist Julius Horsthuis. His immersive environments and video’s have a high-tech cyber feel.
Julius Horsthuis is a visual effects (VFX) designer and fractal artist. He worked intensively on visual effects of many big Dutch movies. In recent years Horsthuis started to experiment with so-called fractal environments and he created several short movies and virtual reality experiences that were exhibited in galleries and film festivals all of the world.
