I use methods inspired by science, as well as methods derived from data capture technology. Living in the ‘Big Data era’ we leave traces of personal information behind that are being used for commercial purposes. As an artist I don’t use data to sketch a bigger image of human behavior but I turn data into representation by zooming in on the individual. The representation is as personal as a self-portrait but as excessive as an archive, as voyeuristic as reading a diary, and as precise as a medical examination. I examine my heartbeat, my sleep, my movement, the colors that I saw, my urine, my breath, my blood pressure, my body temperature, my stool texture, my conversations, my sexual behavior, my emotional state, my reaction to others and more.
